If they bring the end result to consoles, and add a livery creator to said console versions (possibly even let us upload custom graphics somewhere to use in-game?), then yes. I'd like to see that

Yes. A Project Cars 2-esque photo mode, obviously updated and improved upon, would be very welcome.

    That right there.
One of the things i really liked about P-Cars 2, was the detail it gave you in the setup menus about what each thing did. Select the front roll bars, and at the side of the screen it detailed what the effects of adjusting them would be. And it had different details for the rear bars, cause naturally, adjusting those had a different effect to the front. Same with the dampers, spring rates, diff, and just about everything else on the car. Really helped me increase my understanding of how to make the car do what i wanted it to do. And stop it from doing the things i didn't want to happen. Once you know how to dial out understeer, and make the car corner more sharply, it's much more fun to play.

GT7 kinda struggles in that area. It tells you what things do, but it's not really that detailed.

    consoles?
    Please NO.
pCARS has so many limitations, because of consoles compatibility.
Libraries instead of folders for cars and liveries.
Saveslots and big data files instead of xml's or ini's
    etc.
A console compatible system following the restrictions of Microsoft and Sony can never be realy good for mod ability.
And it also binds too many devs resources.
I prefer a good PC version and if that is successful, then there can be conversion to consoles later.
Every car could be a race car, as long as you have the balls to drive it like that !

For the love of god, when you are a single driver, a setup menu is a nightmare to navigate, especially when you have changing conditions (weather, time of day, time of year, tyre compound, track condition etc etc). In the real world, a driver doesn't have to make all those decisions, or calculate tyre pressures on the fly based on prevailing conditions, so why make us, the players, go through those gymnastic hoops. Look at the driving behaviour, look at the conditions and decide FOR the driver what the tyre pressures and tyre compound (if available) should be, based on the expected conditions for the upcoming time period the tyres/fuel are expected to last. That way the player can get on with the business of RACING.
Yup, if I wanted to spend my time being a race engineer, I'd play Motorsport Manager. There should always be an option for us folk that want to just drive and leave the thinking to someone (or thing) else.

Current gen consoles are more powerful than some pc's though...
Pc only would be catering to a very niche audience.

For now. What does it help in 3 to 5 years time? Not much.
Doesn't change the fact that PC simracing is a rather small niche, though.

In 3 to 5 years a newer gen will be released, it's no different than pc, who have to upgrade as well by then...
